Motorola Droid RAZR Exposed
Motorola has released another sneak peek at its Spyder smartphone, though this time the teaser left less for the imagination. Designed as an incomplete puzzle with the missing pieces added one-by-one as the handset’s launch date gets closer, the teaser site nevertheless leaves a full image of the phone in plain view.
The Motorola Spyder, which is very likely to be sold as the Droid RAZR, will be an uber-thin LTE handset with Kevlar backing and a Droid X-style bump on top, as seen in the image (at left). In addition, it will feature a rear camera -- presumably 8MP with 1080p HD video capture -- a front facing camera, a standard set of four capacitive touch buttons and a redesigned Droid eye
If the Spyder is indeed the Droid RAZR, this could be the device that was previously known as the Droid HD, which details of leaked this past summer. The Droid HD was said to have a 4.5-inch touchscreen, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 8MP camera, among other features.
Motorola and Verizon sent out invitations last week for a press conference for tomorrow, Oct. 18 in NYC. The Droid RAZR is expected to be the highlight of the show.
Check back here tomorrow for a full scoop on the event, as Brighthand will have a reporter in attendence, getting some hands-on time with everything that gets unveiled.
